It is situated in zone 4 Agusan, Cagayan de de Oro City which marked a memorable year for the residents of Agusan and even in nearby barangays. The opening of this complete elementary education was a huge boost to the morale of Agusanons and the residents of the nearby barangays. Accommodating more than 1,500 pupils and having 45 competent teachers, Agusan Elementary School is categorized as a big non-central school in the city of Cagayan de Oro.
The school has a total land area of 20,745 sq.m equipped with 37 academic classrooms, a Principal's Office , HE building, Canteen and a covered court. Presently, four of the buildings were reported and approved by the City Building Officials as to be demolished including the Office of the Principal. With the effort of the School Division Superintendent. The school is blessed enough to received a newly constructed building, one two-storey building with four classrooms donated by the Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry through the initiative of the 2nd Legislative District Congressman, Honorable Rufus B. Rodriguez and a Project-SPHERE building from the DepEd.
The rooms were constructed around the school campus and a big playground is at the center. There are tall trees planted around the school which will provide shade to the school children especially during lunch break. Agusan Elementary School is a child-friendly school where child loving teachers are carefully selected to serve the populace. Teacher are well-equipped in effectively sharing their knowledge to the pupils, molding them to become a valuable and responsible individual in the future.
